CostPerNews: Why Do Right Wingers Love Apple?

I realize you have to parade around your town as a left wingnut, because it's the expected perspective there.

But you're clearly a closet conservative, Sam.

It's ok, we accept you. Just be honest with yourself.

Is that meant to be a metaphor for the hand of big government reaching out?

darth vader represents the republicans who, while once promising, fell to
the dark side after being corrupted by their power over the last decade.

luke, of course, is middle class america who is on the verge of being
strangled but would rather take a plunge on the message of Hope (as embodied
    in obama).

I can't imagine middle class american getting much help from Obama. They will end up paying more money to the government and have less to give to their kids and family. More women will not be able to stay home with their children. And, they will see Obama hurt their retirement savings by increasing capital gains taxes.

The "elite" (otherwise known as intellectuals and the rich) and very poor are the constituency of the Democratic Party. The Party of Roosevelt is no more.

Not sure if my wife (who is a physician) would care much for your comment
given that she's also a very successful mother as well :)
And I'm not sure how you can say that about Obama given the incredible hurt
that middle class Americans are undergoing directly because of 6 years of a
    Republican Congress and White House.

And I'm not sure how you can say that only "elites" and very poor are
Democrats since I look around me here in the Carolinas and see many many
people like myself who are looking for answers instead of more rhetoric and
failed governmental policies (and vote Democratic).

And I'll throw in one more "Not Sure"... I'm not sure I want to be a part of
a party that doesn't address the "very poor" and stand up for their needs
given that is the reason I'm a Christian and attend the Church I do.

to address the topic of the blog post, i'd like to make a suggestion as a possible explanation. firstly, i beleive you are reading a little too much into these people's choice in technology. second, in my decade of film/tv production experience i noticed that early everyone in the industry used a mac, particularly those that had anything to do with editing graphics or recording sound. but ultimately, nearly everyone in the industry that sed these products did so because they did not want to suffer the inconveniences thrust upon them by the microsoft platform, this desire is independent of their political leanings and is practical in that it helps to better express their message.
